The Deck of Cards

Hi fellas! How are you doin out there? Ingles muna para maiba.🙂 I just want to write something different. Well not really different but sharing my little hobby.

It started about 4 years ago as a curiosity and has since developed into a serious passion and leisure. I have a full time night shift job and after a nine hour work from the office, I usually play POKER. Personally, I see nothing wrong with playing the game since this is my way to get rid of my stress. I’ve had some missteps along the way, but overall, it has contributed to my bottom line and helped my finances.

Its a great game for me.  Having to experienced the rush of outsmarting your opponent and taking home a sizeable money afterwards, you missing out. Its a different experience. Something extra ordinary. But then, it made me realize something especially when I take a glance to each deck of cards…Let me share you this:

THE DECK OF CARDS

When we look at the ACE, it tells us that there is one GOD and no other.

When we see the “2”, it reminds us that there are two parts the Bible; the OLD TESTAMENT and the NEW TESTAMENT.

The “3” tells us of the TRINITY OF GOD THE FATHER, GOD THE SON and GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT.

The “4” reminds us of the FOUR GOSPELS; MATTHEW, MARK, LUKE and JOHN.

When we see the “5”, it tells us of the FIVE UNWISE VIRGINS who were lost and that five were saved.

The “6” makes us mindful that GOD CREATED THE EARTH IN JUST SIX DAYS, and GOD said that it was good.

When we see the “7”, it reminds us that GOD RESTED ON THE SEVENTH DAY.

As we look at the “8”, it reminds us that GOD DESTROYED ALL HUMAN LIFE BY WATER EXCEPT FOR EIGHT PEOPLE; Noah, his wife, their three sons, and their three son’s wives.

When we see the “9”, let’s think of the NINE LEPERS that GOD healed. There were ten lepers in all but only one stopped to thank him.

The “10” reminds us of the TEN COMMANDMENTS carved in stone by the hand of GOD.

The “JACK” makes us remember the Prince of Darkness. Like a roaring lion, he devours those that he can.

When we look at the “QUEEN”, we’ll see THE CHURCH, THE BRIDE OF JESUS.

As we look at the last card; “THE KING”, let it remind us that JESUS IS LORD OF LORDS and KING OF KINGS.

There are 365 spots on a deck of cards, and that is the number of days in each year. There are 52 cards to a deck and that is the number of weeks in a year. There are 12 picture cards and that is the number of months in a year. There are 4 different suits in a deck and that is the number of seasons in a year.

The deck of cards serves as a BIBLE, PRAYER BOOK and ALMANAC.

Most importantly, THE deck of cards reminds us that we need JESUS… 365 days, 52 weeks and 12 months a year and that we should always PRAY 4 others.

May you never look at a deck of cards the same way.

Don’t just PLAY, also PRAY!

 Have a blessed day ahead😉

  1. ay, ang lalim, kapatid. bisyo at pagiging relihiyoso, may kaugnayan, pambihira…😉 seriously, ang dami mo namang naiisip, ang lalim pa, haha. pag daw mahilig at mahusay sa cards, maalam sa math, yown… basta, ilan ang mathematicians na card players. sa manipulations sa game sila naka-recognize ng patterns. pero tama sabi ni biatch – the game makes you think of a thousand thoughts. and to me, that’s nakakatuwa at nakakahanga…🙂

    have a good week, Myr…
